Juicing Your Way to The Glow

Would you believe the way to boost your energy is actually the same way to glowing clear skin?

After months of terrible eating and a "convenient" diet, I started to lose my energy. Building a business and being a mother is extremely time-consuming and I was constantly trying to find the easy way out of the kitchen by ordering out; or worse, eating chips or processed foods for dinner. This unhealthy lifestyle resulted in a huge loss of energy, extreme exhaustion by 6:30 pm, and consistent breakouts. I had assumed the mask was the culprit of these breakouts, but to my surprise, my congested cheeks had everything to do with my diet; I should have known better but I was most likely in denial.

My desperate attempt to regain my energy led to the juicing detox. When you eat food your body requires a lot of energy to break down the food and find the nutrients. Consumption of processed foods has your body working overtime. When you juice your body is preserving energy because it does not have to work so hard to break down the food. By day one I had enough energy to purge my entire apartment and completely reorganize every room.

In addition to gaining my energy, juicing cleared my "maskne"! I assumed wearing a mask day in and day out was the reason for the sudden breakouts on my cheeks and chin. I would get rid of one blemish only to welcome another. It was repetitive and frustrating. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the liver plays a key role in clearing the skin. The liver is responsible for ridding the body of toxins. Toxins can come from food, alcohol, the environment, etc. When the liver becomes overwhelmed with toxins it recruits other body parts to help eliminate the toxins aka the skin. This explains why you wake up with a new zit after a night of binge eating or after eating that slice of pizza. Since my diet only consisted of processed foods could you imagine how hard my liver was working to eliminate those toxins? It explains the burn-out feeling I was experiencing and my constant breakouts. After filling my body with pure raw nutrients, vitamins, and minerals for 3 days straight, my skin began to reap the benefits. Juicing cleared my skin completely after one week.
